What is the position? Evercore ISI seeks to hire a Research Associate for its Electrical Equipment / Multi-Industry research team located in New York, NY.
Primary Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be proactive, high-energy, and an effective team player. They will possess strong Excel skills, solid financial and accounting knowledge, and excellent writing abilities. A strong work ethic and the ability to learn quickly are essential. Candidates with a background in finance and accounting are strongly encouraged to apply. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain financial models efficiently
- Conduct financial and valuation analysis of covered companies
- Execute proprietary research projects that drive impactful stock calls
- Respond to client requests and inquiries
- Generate investment ideas and insights
- Maintain databases and produce tables and charts
- Participate in company management calls and industry conferences
- Monitor and share key news developments with the team
- Track and analyze relevant industry and economic data
Specific Qualifications: - 1-3 years of equity research experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong background in finance and accounting
- Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills
- Superior writing and analytical capabilities
- Demonstrated interest in equity markets
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
- Strong team orientation with ability to contribute to broader goals
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends when necessary
- Meticulous attention to detail
Expected Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000
