Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:
SRNS is seeking to hire experienced engineers to work within SRS facilities. Engineers may be assigned to one of the following specific facility operations and have discipline specific ownership and maintenance of the following types of systems among others:
• Nuclear Chemical and Industrial Unit Operations
• Industrial Mechanical systems (Nuclear and Non-nuclear HVAC, Rotating Equipment)
• Instrumentation and Control Systems
• Utilities (Power Distribution, Steam, Water Compressed Gases)
• Civil/Structural (Buildings, Roads, Bridges, Dams)
• Fire Protection Systems
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Scope technical tasks and develop creative solutions to assigned problems within Federal nuclear and non-nuclear facilities.
• Begin using SRNS systems and meeting SRNS requirements with minimal supervisory guidance.
• Accepts complex tasks and receives minimal guidance from senior professionals.
Specific day to day tasks may include:
• Work directly with operations and maintenance personnel to maintain system operability
• System Configuration Control to include minor design development, component replacement, facility walkdowns, drawing reviews/updates, procedure development/review/approval, preventive maintenance identification
• Usage of Federal/National Codes and Standards
• Work package/system maintenance review and approval
• Work with Design or Project Management organizations on large scale designs and projects
Required Qualifications
P3: • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field
• Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
P4: • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least ten years of experience (YOE), OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE)
• Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
P5: • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or relevant field plus at least fifteen years of experience (YOE), OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least twelve years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field plus at least eight years of experience (YOE)
• Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

Security Clearance Information
SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Discipline Description
Engineering - Multidiscipline personnel typically own a multidiscipline engineering related work scope. Responsibilities are within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

Job Family Description
Engineering roles perform engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments. They may design and scale up manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment and tests manufactured products to maintain quality. They may plan, design, and estimate time and cost and oversees construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems, and components. They analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures. They develop and apply engineering standards and procedures and provide advice on issues within the engineering field.
