Experienced Consultant to join our
Productivity discipline within our
Organization, People & Change Practice. We partner with clients to solve complex operational challenges through process optimization, workforce productivity, and operational excellence. By combining data-driven insights with technology-including AI-we help organizations work smarter and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Unlike traditional process improvement roles, our consultants work across industries to solve complex business problems, helping clients improve efficiency, optimize resources, and implement sustainable operational improvements.
What You'll DoAnalyze business operations and identify improvement opportunities- Assess current-state operations to identify inefficiencies across business processes, workforce utilization, and operational performance.
- Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to translate business challenges into structured analyses and actionable recommendations.
- Develop business cases that quantify productivity improvements, operational efficiencies, and financial impact.
Support operational improvement initiatives- Support business process redesign efforts that improve throughput, reduce cost, and enhance quality.
- Analyze workforce capacity, labor utilization, operating models, and performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
- Help clients prioritize and implement improvement initiatives based on business value, feasibility, and organizational impact.
Deliver technology-enabled productivity solutions- Identify opportunities to incorporate AI, automation, and digital capabilities into operational workflows while supporting the design of future-state processes.
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations for clients, exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.
- Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to enhance insights, improve delivery efficiency, and elevate the quality of client outcomes.
Deliver value for clients and contribute to the practice- Produce high-quality client deliverables, analyses, presentations, and recommendations while supporting implementation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and client stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Contribute to proposal development, knowledge sharing, and internal initiatives that strengthen West Monroe's Productivity discipline.
What You'll Bring- 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, professional services, operations, or a similarly analytical environment.
- Experience improving business processes, operational performance, workforce productivity, or service delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Experience building quantitative analyses, such as productivity, capacity, cost, or operational performance models.
- Exposure to AI, automation, or advanced analytics applied to business processes.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, analytics, or a related field.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
