Overview

The Experience Improvement Advisor will be responsible for supporting the improvement project timelines, project logistics and process deliverables to ensure workgroup efficiency and compliance with project deadlines on high-level initiatives to optimize the effectiveness and productivity of the process and HCAHPS improvement strategy. This role will play an integral role in HCAHPS improvement projects, logistics management, progress analysis and accountability and, quantifying project scope as delegated by the director of patient experience performance improvement.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of an Experience Improvement Advisor with Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Responsible for carrying out and coordinating assigned initiatives and projects, potentially including numerous and diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Works on project logistics to elevate the service levels and initiatives of the experience division.
  • Supports surveillance opportunities to inform strategies and suggestions to address identified process gaps.
  • Produces work products such as team charters, process maps, data collection, control charts, control plans and other documents required for team success.
  • Provides reports as scheduled or requested for project surveillance and controls.
  • Works closely with the project teams to develop project plans and is responsible for the coordination logistics for completion of projects within the set timelines.
  • Provides status of project, utilizing benchmarks and graphs to define progress:
  • Prepares departmental data and other types of reports as necessary utilizing Google Sheets, Google Slides or other office tools.
  • Establishes the data driven process for project initiatives while managing the project logistics and project charters.
  • Creates special reports for the project team upon request.
  • Manages the logistical needs of the action planning, audits, monitoring and reporting for all projects and initiatives.
  • Manages the life cycle of project components.
  • Will be available to travel to project location/site to support project initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor`s degree
  • Experience in managing projects and logistics
  • Ability to think strategically with strong analytical and problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills
  • Excellent Organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Advanced level experience with Microsoft Office: including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Projects, Google office tools, and other database tools.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Bachelor`s degree in healthcare, management science/operations research, organizational development or statistics is preferred.
  • Experience in project management utilizing LEAN and or SixSigma is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry is preferred.
