Your Career as an Expedition Program Senior Manager:

Scotiabank's graduate development programs are designed to offer modern, skills-based learning and development that is centered around mentorship and experiential learning. As an Expedition Senior Manager, you will contribute to the overall success of Scotiabank in Canadian Banking and Wealth Management ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. You will ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. The program consists of 3 rotations, each 8 months in length.

At the end of the 2-year rotational program, you will be equipped with the technical, analytical, and leadership abilities to transition into roles within different business lines.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Lead and develop strategy and effectiveness projects that solve business problems.
  • Collaborate with business lines, delivery channels, and support areas to identify and drive initiatives.
  • Contribute to the business development of new products and/or enhancements based on market analysis.
  • Work closely with senior management and a diverse set of stakeholders to drive client-focused strategies.
  • Provide innovative ideas and solutions to create new opportunities to build Scotiabank's value proposition and grow client relationships.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, and its Code of Conduct, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
  • Recommend and executes data-driven changes to portfolio-specific strategies and policy treatments.
  • Actively work on initiatives and strategies that deal with data, technology, governance, reporting, policies and procedures, analytics and so much more.


Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if:
  • Master's Degree OR professional designation (i.e. CA, CFA, PMP) preferred.
