Full Job Description
How you'll CREATE:

Commerce:
  • The Executive Vice President will lead the strategy and execution of MCA's Commercial operations across streaming, physical & digital retail, and e-commerce.
  • Oversee the launch and growth of a new music distribution initiative, ensuring it aligns with company goals and artist needs while driving topline revenue and increased market share.
  • Establish, monitor, and deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs) to increase revenues, grow MCA's overall industry market share, and enhance consumer engagement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with DSPs, retailers, distributed labels, artist teams, and other strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with UMG, REPUBLIC, and MCA senior leadership to align Commerce strategy with company-wide priorities and artist initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Partner with A&R, Marketing, Digital, Promotion, and Creative teams to design and execute campaigns that drive topline revenue.
  • Optimize the customer journey across all e-Commerce consumer touchpoints to maximize engagement and conversion.
  • Drive innovation in streaming, e-Commerce, and physical product strategies including soft-goods and non-traditional merchandise initiatives to stay ahead of market shifts and industry trends.


Analytics:
  • Develop and execute a data strategy to inform marketing campaigns, artist development, and release planning.
  • Lead a team of analysts focused on industry reporting, consumer insights, audience segmentation, and behavioral trends across platforms (e.g., streaming, CRM, social media, web) including:
    • Translating complex data sets into actionable insights that guide executive and cross-functional decision-making.
    • Overseeing the build and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and predictive models to monitor fan engagement and campaign performance.
    • Driving innovation in the use of first-party, second-party, and third-party data to identify growth opportunities for the label and its artists (in addition to Artificial Intelligence innovation)
    • Managing relationships across all data providers including UMG Corporate, Luminate, Billboard, Chartmetric, etc.
    • Act as a thought leader on audience intelligence, staying ahead of industry trends and technologies.
    • Present key findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and artist teams.
    • Work with other departments to maximize audience opportunities across different mediums
