Position Title: EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF - LOS ANGELES, CA

Salary: $90000 - $95000 / year

Job Summary

Eurest is seeking a talented Executive Sous Chef to join a fast-paced corporate dining operation where culinary excellence meets high-volume execution. If you thrive in a high volume dining environment and know how to elevate Executive Dining to a true guest experience, we want you in our kitchen. You'll partner closely with the Executive Chef to run daily kitchen operations, mentor a strong back-of-house team, and keep culinary standards - and safety standards - at their best.

What You'll Do
  • Support the Executive Chef in ensuring full compliance with sanitation, ServSafe, safety, production, and merchandising standards
  • Motivate, train, develop, and lead back-of-house staff to consistently exceed customer and client expectations
  • Creatively prepare and present high-quality food in a cost-effective, on-brand way
  • Assist with planning, ordering, inventory management, and food preparation across all dining operations
  • Support cost controls and help manage expenditures for the account
  • Roll out new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and culinary leadership
  • Oversee a high-quality a la carte dining program, including Executive Dining
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the operation calls for it

What We're Looking For
  • B.S. in Culinary Arts, Food Service Technology/Management, or related field; or A.O.S. in Culinary Arts with specialized training
  • 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience
  • Mastery across a wide variety of kitchen positions and stations
  • Quick, creative thinking - able to produce and serve on the fly
  • Solid understanding of food cost management, product identification, and quality standards
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Current food safety sanitation certification - ServSafe and/or HACCP
  • A finger on the pulse of culinary trends and a passion for creative food presentation preferred
