Executive Relations Partner Job summaryThe Executive Relations Partner is an experienced, in-person individual contributor who serves as an administrative and business development partner to both the CEO and President of our national benefits advisory consulting organization.
The role exists to own executive operations and priorities for the CEO and President to maximize these executive's effectiveness and to enable the CEO's focus on client acquisition, key client relationships, and industry leadership.
This position blends elite executive support and prioritization with commercial growth enablement. The successful candidate will be trusted to navigate independently, manage complexity, exercise judgment, and operate with a zero-tolerance-for-error mindset.
This is not a chief of staff role. It is a high-impact, self-driven individual contributor position focused on maximizing the impact of our CEO and President and requires discretion, confidence, and business acumen.
Summary of essential job functions/responsibilitiesExecutive Support & Priority Management
- Serve as the primary partner responsible for managing the CEO's and President's time, focus and daily execution
- Own and optimize the CEO's and President's calendar, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and growth objectives
- Act as a gatekeeper to the CEO's and President's time, filtering and sequencing requests based on value and urgency
- Hold the CEO and President each accountable to agreed-upon priorities, meeting preparation, and follow-up commitments
- Ensure all meetings are purposeful, well-prepared, and outcome-oriented
Executive Operations & Logistics
- Manage all business travel and logistics for the CEO and President with precision and foresight
- Coordinate occasional personal travel and other support needs for the CEO as required
- Draft, review, and manage executive correspondence and communications
- Anticipate needs and proactively resolve scheduling, logistical, or operational issues
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment at all times
Revenue Growth Enablement
- Support the CEO's new client acquisition efforts
- Partner with our Business Development team for support
- Research target organizations, market context, and key stakeholders
- Help prepare for prospective client and client meetings
- Ensure follow-up actions from sales-related meetings are tracked and executed
- Ensure the client relationship management (CRM) database is updated
- Maintain visibility into the CEO's active prospective client and relationship pipeline to help prioritize time and preparation
- Coordinate internally including with our Client Service and Advisor team to ensure smooth execution following CEO-led sales and client activities
Thought Leadership & Executive Presence
- Partner with the CEO to support thought leadership and industry visibility efforts
- Assist with planning and preparation for speaking engagements, industry events, and board, community and external leadership commitments
- Support content development and scheduling for social media and external communications, ensuring alignment with brand and growth objectives
Minimum requirements- 8-10+ years of experience in roles such as:
- Executive Business Partner
- Executive or Senior Executive Assistant with expanded sales and strategic responsibilities
- Chief of Staff
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- B2B sales awareness and comfort supporting revenue-generating activities
- Direct experience partnering with C-suite executives, preferably founders or CEOs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High emotional intelligence and confidence to act as a trusted partner and gatekeeper
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Must be proficient in Word and PowerPoint; able to prepare documents and presentations from concept to completion with limited assistance
- Must be proficient in Excel; able to organize and analyze data with confidence
- Experience with a customer relationship management platform (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Sales Force, etc.) and with ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other sales enablement platforms
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-accountability, in-person environment

- Must be able to read and edit spreadsheets, email and other related tools related to the role

- Ability to travel to and work in the corporate office located in Indianapolis, Indiana is required, in addition to client locations.
