Position Summary: Applications are invited for the Executive in Residence position at the Villanova School of Business. We welcome expertise from all areas of business and private sector experience. The position begins Spring 2027 and will report to the Department Chair of Marketing and Business Law.
Duties and Responsibilities: - The position includes teaching responsibilities of 6 credits (generally two courses) at the undergraduate and/or graduate level as assigned by the Chair of the Marketing and Business Law Department.
- The position also includes leadership and oversight of the Villanova Venture Capital (VVC) initiative. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, strategic planning and implementation of student programming, oversight of the student-managed Villanova Venture Fund, development and maintenance of the Advisory Council, managing the budget to ensure fiscal responsibility, and other duties that promote and advance the VVC initiative.
- This position includes serving as the primary liaison with other university units (e.g., IIE, Engineering Entrepreneurship, Scapra Center for Entrepreneurship and Law, Office of General Council, Office of Investments, Office of Financial Affairs, and other relevant units).
- This position also includes coordination with the O'Donnell Center staff of events related to the VVC program. This includes ensuring events are listed appropriately on Handshake and appropriate marketing materials are developed and deployed to drive student engagement.
- The position will also support the academic enterprise of Villanova through publishing venture/entrepreneurship research and thought-leadership articles in peer-reviewed and popular press outlets.
- Other related duties as assigned by the Department Chair.
Minimum Qualifications: - Significant private sector experience in business, specifically in the area of venture capital and institutional investing, and success in teaching undergraduate students.
