Full Job Description
Job Summary

Leads and directs all departments within Technology Services in establishing and meeting District technology goals. Coordinates technology initiatives and embraces the District vision to enhance education through effective and efficient use of technology.

Essential Functions

1. Leads, directs, and manages Technology Services operations; recruits, selects,

orients, trains, coaches, counsels, and disciplines staff. Plans, monitors, appraises, and reviews staff job contributions.

2. Establishes, maintains, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive district-wide technology plan for the district. Develop strategic plans for the Division with accompanying data driven, measurable, action plan.

3. Directs the creation, maintenance, and technical support for the District's software applications.

4. Enhances digital content offerings and programs at all schools.

5. Directs the preparation, evaluation, consolidation and review of Technology Services

planning and budgets and ensures adherence to approved plans and budgets.

6. Coordinates and manages all major technological initiatives including the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, the IT Service Management (ITSM) system, software development and utilization, technology Support, District cybersecurity, device deployment, and digital communications.

7. Advises management on solutions of business problems using current available

technologies.

8. Develops and maintains hardware and software standards and provides for the

procurement of all technology purchases for the entire District.

9. Serves as liaison with Department of Education, business users, and local and state

systems, to oversee the development of compatibility.

10. Establishes and maintains telecommunications, email and portal communication

systems interfacing with schools and district offices.

11. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Technology management work experience may be substituted for coursework, major or degree.

Experience: Ten (10) years of information technology experience with at least five (5) years of senior level information technology management experience.
