Summary:At the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Schools, the Network Executive Director oversees a network of schools and supervises, evaluates, and provides engaging professional development and coaching for PK-12 administrators. They monitor the progress of school improvement and guide schools through strategic plan alignment and implementation. They are committed to data-driven, student-centered decisions and focused on equity, thereby influencing school culture, instructional practices, and student growth at a school and system level.
Responsibilities: - Strategic Initiatives: Support the Superintendent's strategic plan, vision, and leadership by monitoring and supporting the implementation of strategic plan initiatives at schools. Assist in coordinating and facilitating district-level work that impacts schools.
- Supervision: Supervise, coach, and evaluate PK-12 Principals based on Colorado and Boulder Valley leadership standards and expectations.
- Achievement and result focus: Review data and monitor progress toward school improvement implementation benchmarks, post-secondary readiness, and performance targets.
- Collaborate and problem-solve with administrators, staff, and families to build a welcoming, highly effective school community. Achieved through a visible campus presence, consistent multi-channel communication, and dedicated stakeholder meetings.
- Instructional Leadership: Awareness and ability to communicate quality instructional practices, innovation, equity, and strategic plan implementation with fidelity and support in developing instructional leadership capacity.
- Climate: Conduct school visits and classroom observations. Provide guidance and training promoting effective school improvement planning to achieve strategic outcomes and student success.
- Talent Development: Develop and retain high-quality school leadership personnel. Oversee assistant principal hiring and provide quality professional development experiences. Provide engaging professional development for aspiring leaders, building administrators, and network instructional leaders.
- Fiscal Management: At the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Schools, support school-based resource allocation decision-making, including FTE assignment, conversions, and thought partnerships around budgetary planning and management (i.e., School Resource Allocation, internal accounts, etc.), expenditures, etc.
- Support & Change Management: Respond to and assist individual school site administrators in addressing site-specific problems and issues related to operations, student discipline, school safety, field trip travel, retention, accelerations, administrative placements, the formal complaint process, and grievance hearings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Required:- Master's Degree in Education.
- Minimum of three years of administrative leadership experience in school or central office settings.
- Colorado Principal License/Administrator/Director or Superintendent License.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Completed and submitted BVSD online application.
- Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.
Preferred:- Minimum of three years of PK-12 classroom teaching experience.
- Experience in a central administration leadership role.
- 5 years of experience as a school principal.
Salary Information: Salary Range 18: $138,646.00 - $207,971.00
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.*Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule).
