Primary Purpose:

Direct the district's special education program to ensure provision of needed services for special needs students.
Work to provide individualized education plans to meet the needs of all students and ensure compliance with all state, federal and local requirements.
Direct the district's 504, Dyslexia, and Special Education Programs to ensure provision of services for all students.


Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of federal and state special education law Understanding of the individual needs of special needs students
Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Ability to manage budget and personnel
Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:
Five years experience in special programs
Education leadership experience
