Position Description

We are hiring a Executive Director, Site Leader. The Executive Director, Site Leader will provide site leadership to achieve the Company's objectives related to research, development, and manufacturing of recombinant proteins and other biomolecules. The Site Leader serves as the primary interface with business / corporate leadership, regulatory authorities, and key partners, while building a high-performing, inclusive team that consistently achieves objectives

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Set and model a strong safety-first, quality-first culture across the site
  • Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing leadership team
  • Drive employee engagement, inclusion, and talent development
  • Act as the visible leader for the site, reinforcing humility, collaboration, accountability, and trust
  • Responsible for end-to-end site performance including manufacturing, development and quality
  • Develop and execute site strategy in alignment with business goals, strategy and culture
  • Ensure reliable execution of the site production plan
  • Lead capacity planning, scale-up, and operational readiness for all products
  • Responsible for expense and CAPEX budget management at the site
  • Accountable for site compliance with FUJIFILM Biosciences Quality Management System
  • Sponsor quality initiatives, deviations, CAPAs, complaints and audits
  • Drive site key performance indicators; report metric results to executive leadership for global roll-up
  • Serve as site sponsor and support Quality during regulatory and customer inspections and audits
  • Responsible for site P&L, budget planning, cost control, and productivity targets
  • Translate business / corporate strategy into site-level objectives and execution plans
  • Work collaboratively with commercial team to develop operating plan to meet business objectives
  • Participate as an active member of the senior leadership team with responsibility for assisting the executive leadership team, in setting strategy and achieving the company's goals and objectives
  • Domestic and international travel anticipated at

Required Skills/Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, or related field. Preference given to advanced degrees (e.g., MS, MBA or PhD in similar fields).
  • 15+ years of experience in biomanufacturing or regulated life sciences operations
  • 10+ years of management experience including managing operations and quality teams
  • 5+ years of site, business or functional P&L experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing large, cross-functional organizations
  • Working knowledge of biomolecules manufacturing (e.g., cell culture, purification, fill-finish)
  • Demonstrated experience leading audits and maintaining inspection-ready operations
  • Experience scaling operations and expanding manufacturing capacity
  • Ability to collaborate within a matrixed organization
  • Track record of success in developing people, driving cultural transformation and operational excellence
  • Mentoring, coaching and teaching ability and orientation
  • People development, performance management and change management are necessary skills for success
  • Financial metrics and acumen pertaining to site performance
  • Ability to speak, write and read English.

Salary and Benefits:
  • The base salary range for this position is $182,600 - $255,500. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
