Job Summary The Executive Director of Campus Operations serves as the primary coordinator for administrative and operational functions at Cal Poly Solano by ensuring strong alignment with Cal Poly systems, resources, and leadership. Under the direction of the Senior Vice President for Administration & Finance (SVP), reporting to the AVP of Divisional Operations, and coordination with the VP/CEO of the Cal Poly Solano campus, this position supports coordinated service delivery and process integration across all Administration & Finance units. The incumbent fosters collaboration between divisional leaders at both campuses, ensuring that campus operations meet shared goals and CSU standards.
This position is located in Vallejo, California, at the Cal Poly Maritime Academy.Key Qualifications- Demonstrated experience working with executive-level leadership including managing complex, multi-unit administrative and operational environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders to translate campus needs into coordinated strategic action.
- Strong financial, capital planning, and risk management acumen, including oversight of budgets and infrastructure investments.
- Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications. Ability to analyze problems and address them proactively.
- Demonstrated customer service experience requiring a very high level of diplomacy and professionalism.
Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in operations, administration, or project management. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for required education on a year-for-year basis.
Salary and Benefits The anticipated hiring range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000. Note that the offer is calculated based on the background and relevant years of experience of the individual selected.
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
