Executive Director IT Product Management

Durham, NC

This role will support the Provider and Health Systems Products, responsible for defining and executing Labcorp's strategy, growth initiatives, partnerships, and digital transformation efforts across health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), academic medical centers, physician groups, and other provider organizations.

This leader serves as the voice of the provider customer, translating market needs into innovative solutions that enhance the healthcare experience and strengthen Labcorp's position as a trusted diagnostic partner.

This role will lead cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Product, Technology, Operations, Clinical, and Customer Success organizations to deliver differentiated provider experiences, accelerate digital adoption, and drive sustainable revenue growth, for such key Labcorp products that include Diagnostic Assistant & Link -to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Provider and Health Systems strategy aligned with Labcorp's enterprise objectives.
  • Identify emerging healthcare trends, market opportunities, regulatory changes, and competitive threats affecting provider organizations.
  • Shape Labcorp's provider engagement roadmap, emphasizing innovation, interoperability, workflow optimization, and customer experience.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on provider market dynamics and customer needs.


Provider and Health System Partnerships
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders, physicians, laboratory directors, informatics teams, and operational stakeholders.
  • Act as executive sponsor for strategic health system partnerships.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand clinical, operational, and financial priorities and develop solutions that create measurable value.
  • Represent Labcorp at industry conferences, advisory boards, customer events, and executive forums.


Digital Product and Experience Leadership
  • Partner with Product Management and Technology teams to enhance provider-facing solutions.
  • Drive adoption of digital ordering, results delivery, EHR integration, clinical decision support, and workflow automation capabilities.
  • Champion customer-centered design and innovation to improve provider satisfaction and reduce administrative burden.
  • Lead strategic initiatives focused on interoperability, provider workflow optimization, and data-driven insights.


Business Growth and Market Expansion
  • Develop growth strategies for provider and health system segments, including new business acquisition, account expansion, and retention.
  • Identify opportunities to increase utilization of Labcorp's diagnostic, specialty testing, oncology, genetics, and population health solutions.
  • Collaborate with commercial leadership to establish revenue targets and achieve growth objectives.
  • Evaluate strategic investments, partnerships, and market opportunities.

Operational Excellence
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for customer engagement, digital adoption, satisfaction, retention, and financial performance.
  • Ensure successful execution of enterprise initiatives and large-scale customer implementations.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Utilize customer insights, analytics, and market intelligence to inform decision-making.


Team Leadership
  • Lead the team in adopting the latest AI driven best practices for Product Management
  • Build, develop, and lead high-performing teams across strategy, provider engagement, product, and operations functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and customer obsession.
  • Mentor emerging leaders and support succession planning efforts.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • 12 or more years of experience leading teams and initiatives within healthcare, diagnostics, health technology, provider services, or healthcare consulting.
  • 5 or more years of experience supporting provider workflows such as ordering, results, care coordination, or clinical decision support within healthcare IT environments.
  • 8 or more years of experience managing healthcare IT products that use HL7, FHIR, or API-based integrations.
  • 8 or more years of experience defining IT product strategy with measurable adoption, utilization, or performance results.
  • 5 or more years of experience leading digital transformation or product modernization initiatives.
  • 7 or more years of experience leading cross-functional teams, including responsibility for teams of 6 or more direct or indirect reports.
  • 5 or more years of experience working within an EHR platform such as Epic, Oracle Health, MEDITECH, or similar.
  • 4 or more years of experience in leading enterprise initiatives

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, MHA, MPH, or related advanced degree.
  • 3 or more years of experience in diagnostics, laboratory medicine, provider-facing technology platforms, or healthcare data solutions.
  • 8 or more years of experience with Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), or other EHR platforms.
  • 2 or more years of experience leading digital transformation and product modernization initiatives within healthcare IT Environment.
  • 3 or more years of experience working in healthcare SaaS, clinical informatics, population health, oncology, or precision medicine.

  • Comfortable working in clinical or healthcare operational settings
