Job Title:Executive Director-Health System Operations
Job Summary:To lead the daily operations of multiple departments and functional areas in the Health System including the development and implementation of annual goals and strategic objectives that lead to improved performance in service, operations, quality, and patient satisfaction.
Education & Experience
Education and Experience Required:
Master’s Degree and five (5) years of financial and/or operational leadership experience in a healthcare setting.

Strong business acumen and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build and manage relationships with a variety of individuals and functional areas. Ability to analyze and interpret complex data. Exceptional communication skills. Knowledge and understanding of state and federal programs, healthcare regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and quality improvement methodologies. Experience with contract management.
Responsibilities
3 Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize clinical operations, enhance patient outcomes, and drive organizational growth. Collaborate with senior leadership to align clinical operations with the overall goals and objectives of the health system. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices to inform strategic decision-making.
3 Operational Management: Provide leadership and direction to clinical operations staff, including managers, supervisors, and frontline staff. Oversee the day-to-day operations of various clinical departments, ensuring compliance with quality standards, patient safety regulations, and operational protocols. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
3 Financial Management: Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational goals. Monitor financial performance metrics and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and revenue generation. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to control expenses without compromising quality of care.
3 Quality Assurance and Patient Safety: Implement quality assurance programs and performance improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of patient care. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and quality metrics. Foster a culture of patient safety and continuous improvement throughout the health system.
3 Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, departmental leaders, and other stakeholders to promote interdisciplinary teamwork and achieve shared goals. Build and maintain effective relationships with external partners, including healthcare providers, vendors, and community organizations. Serve as a liaison between clinical operations and other departments to facilitate communication and coordination of services.
3 Staff Development and Engagement: Recruit, train, and mentor clinical operations staff to cultivate a high-performing team. Foster a culture of professional development, engagement, and accountability within the department. Recognize and reward exemplary performance and provide constructive feedback to support continuous growth and development.

Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires frequent working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, frequent travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, frequent driving, occasional kneeling, occasional reaching, frequent sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and frequent walking.
