About the Role:
Provides strategic leadership for Neurocrine's Commercial Insights and Analytics function, enabling enterprise decision-making through advanced analytics, AI-enabled insights, commercial forecasting, and competitive intelligence. Accountable for developing the long-term strategy for commercial forecasting and analytics, modernizing commercial decision capabilities, and ensuring the organization leverages data to optimize portfolio, brand, and customer decisions. Serves as a strategic partner across Marketing, Field Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Finance, IT, and New Product Commercialization to shape commercial strategy, guide investment decisions, support portfolio and financial planning through robust forecasting, and build scalable analytical capabilities supporting current and future product launches. Leads a high-performing organization and establishes the vision, operating model, governance, and talent strategy for Commercial Insights, Analytics, and Forecasting while fostering an innovative, insight-driven culture that accelerates business performance.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Establishes and executes the long-term vision, strategy, and operating model for the Commercial Insights and Analytics function, ensuring alignment with enterprise, commercial, and brand strategies while advancing the organization's AI-enabled analytics capabilities
  • Leads and develops a high-performing organization responsible for commercial forecasting, market research, competitive intelligence, performance analytics, advanced analytics, commercial measurement, and AI-enabled decision intelligence, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous learning, and leadership development
  • Partners with Commercial and cross-functional leadership to identify business opportunities, anticipate evolving analytical needs, and deliver actionable insights and forecasts that shape commercial strategy, optimize portfolio and investment decisions, and drive successful commercialization
  • Champions evidence-based decision making by delivering clear, objective, and actionable recommendations that influence commercial strategy, portfolio prioritization, commercialization planning, resource allocation, investment decisions, and go-to-market execution
  • Provides strategic oversight of commercial forecasting activities, ensuring forecasts are transparent, assumption-driven, analytically sound, and reflective of evolving market dynamics, competitive activity, customer behavior, and business strategy to support executive decision making and long-range planning
  • Leads the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of enterprise commercial measurement and optimization capabilities, including Marketing Mix Modeling (MMx), Key Driver Analysis (KDA), scenario planning, causal inference, experimentation, predictive analytics, and AI-enabled decision support and other advanced analytical methodologies
  • Drives marketing and commercial investment optimization by translating marketing investments into measurable business impact through advanced measurement, performance evaluation, budget optimization, and channel effectiveness analyses
  • Modernizes the organization's analytics ecosystem by advancing scalable AI-enabled platforms, automated insights, self-service analytics, standardized data products, and decision intelligence capabilities that improve the speed, quality, and consistency of business decisions
  • Partners closely with IT, Data Engineering, and Data Management to establish scalable data, technology, automation, and AI capabilities that enable efficient, repeatable, and enterprise-ready analytical solutions
  • Establishes and maintain enterprise standards for forecasting, analytics methodologies, key performance indicators, data quality, governance, visualization, and executive storytelling to ensure analytical rigor, consistency, transparency, and actionability across the organization
  • Builds organizational capability by developing future leaders, strengthening talent pipelines, and fostering a high-performing, inclusive culture that enables innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in business, science or quantitative disciplines such as mathematics or statistics AND 16+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech Commercial experience, in roles of increasing accountability. OR
  • Master's degree in similar disciplines or MBA preferred AND 14+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech Commercial experience, in roles of increasing accountability. OR
  • Extensive previous leadership experience in building and developing high performing teams, delivering results, and shaping the future
  • Demonstrated expertise leveraging commercial forecasting, market research, competitive intelligence, business analytics, and AI-enabled insights to influence executive decision-making and drive commercial strategy
  • Deep knowledge of analytical approaches in the biopharmaceutical industry, including commercial forecasting, descriptive and predictive analytics, competitive intelligence, quantitative and qualitative market research, and commercial measurement methodologies, with a proven ability to modernize capabilities through innovative, AI-enabled solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide, cross-functional initiatives that address complex business challenges, influence strategic direction, and deliver measurable commercial impact in highly ambiguous environments
  • Broad understanding of commercial data strategy, industry standards, governance frameworks, and emerging technologies that enable scalable, high-quality analytics and decision support
  • Extensive experience leveraging biopharmaceutical commercial data sources-including prescription, specialty pharmacy, anonymized patient-level, claims, electronic health record, audit, and other healthcare data-to generate actionable insights, improve forecasting accuracy, and inform strategic business decisions
  • Experience establishing enterprise data governance, data quality, and analytical standards that ensure consistency, transparency, and trust in business-critical insights and forecasts
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing organizations, developing future leaders, driving organizational change, and championing innovative approaches that strengthen commercial capabilities and business performance
  • Experience leveraging Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms and commercial technologies to enhance customer engagement, commercial effectiveness, and data-driven decision making
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior executives and building strong cross-functional partnerships to shape enterprise strategy, drive organizational alignment, and enable transformational business outcomes
  • Provides strategy, vision and direction regarding issues that may have company-wide impact
  • Consistently acts as a senior "trusted advisor" across the company and may be recognized as an external expert
  • Requires deep knowledge of the functional area, and broad knowledge of multiple areas, business strategies, and the company's goals

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $240,200.00-$328,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
