Executive Director

Agemark Senior Living | Sacramento, CA | Full-Time

Agemark Senior Living is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Executive Director to lead one of our senior living communities in Sacramento, CA. We're looking for a servant leader who knows how to build strong teams, create an exceptional experience for residents and families, and successfully manage the operational and financial health of a community.

***This person must have previous Executive Director/Administrator experience

and know the state regulations for Assisted Living in CA***

What You'll Do

Lead Our People
  • Lead by example and stay actively connected to all areas of the community.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop a strong team while empowering department leaders to succeed.
  • Drive employee engagement through communication, recognition, accountability, and development.
  • Lead daily stand-ups, leadership meetings, and regular staff and safety meetings.
  • Address performance concerns fairly and foster a positive, supportive workplace culture.


Champion Our Residents
  • Partner with residents, families, service providers, and staff to provide personalized, consistent care and service.
  • Help residents live with safety, dignity, and independence.
  • Work closely with clinical leadership to support care planning, problem resolution, and family communication.
  • Monitor resident and family satisfaction and champion Agemark's Life Enrichment programming.


Drive Occupancy & Growth
  • Take ownership of occupancy goals and support sales, marketing, and community outreach efforts.
  • Partner closely with the sales team to achieve monthly goals and maintain strong occupancy.
  • Build relationships throughout the Sacramento community and represent Agemark with professionalism and integrity.


Manage the Business
  • Develop and operate within the annual community budget.
  • Oversee billing, collections, vendor relationships, and expense management.
  • Manage staffing and scheduling to control labor costs and overtime.
  • Set and track community goals while identifying opportunities for continued improvement.

What You Bring
  • A degree in healthcare, business, nursing, geriatrics, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or a related industry required.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing both staff and a budget.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of integrity, sound judgment, and follow-through.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort with technology and day-to-day computer systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as community needs require.
  • A natural ability to build strong relationships with employees, residents, families, and community partners.
