Position Summary
The Executive Director of Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) is a transformational, visionary leader that manages the organization wide strategy and integration of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) successfully within the overall system of ECU Health. The Executive Director of Advanced Practice reports directly to the Medical Group CMO with indirect reporting the President of the Medical Group, Chief Nursing officer, and Medical Affairs executive leadership.
A key objective for the Executive Director of ACP is to ensure industry standard APP practice and implementation of best practices across ECU Health. The Executive Director of ACP manages the Office of Advanced Clinical Practice and develops mission critical Advanced Practice Provider initiatives in accordance with ECU Health's mission. The Executive Director of ACP directly manages APP Team Lead and team members in various specialty service lines. The Executive Director of ACP provides utilizes existing clinical and operational reporting structures to provide indirect leadership to over 500 APPs including Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioners, Registered Nurse First Assistants, and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists through management, coaching, and mentoring to make sure their development is in concert with ECU Health's mission, values, and goals.
Practicing outstanding performance management skills, the Executive Director of ACP cultivates and fosters an empowered and engaged workforce by establishing and maintaining a practice environment consistent with ECU Health's mission. By building collaborative relationships with multiple key stakeholders, including physician, nursing, and administrative leadership, the Executive Director of ACP will assure the advancement of organizational goals, programs, and projects. The Executive Director of ACP will innovate and support programming to maximize the Advanced Practice Provider in progressive new models of health care delivery at top of license and collaborate with key stakeholders in developing and evaluating value-based care delivery models which supports the health delivery and finance system strategy. The Executive Director of ACP develops well-structured metrics and data for assessing outcomes of APP quality-of-care, ensuring that APPs meet State and Federal regulatory-agency requirements. These metrics and data provide accurate information for major changes and improvements going forward and will ensure that APPs participate in cost-saving and revenue-generating opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
- Master's degree in advanced Practice (NP, CNM, PA, CRNA) or higher
- Current NC Licensure to Practice
- Advanced Degree (DNP, PhD) preferred
- 5 years of experience as an APP is required
- Leadership experience is required
Pay Range
$143041.60 - $208494.00
