POSITION SUMMARYThe Executive Communications Specialist owns the materials, narratives, and communications systems that help UNION's Growth team turn complex technical, commercial, and customer context into clear executive communications. This role works directly with the Head of Growth to build customer-ready decks, briefings, one-pagers, leadership updates, and public-facing copy. The right person is a senior individual contributor who brings writing judgment, material-building discipline, and enough commercial context to make high-stakes work easier to understand and act on.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Build executive-ready and customer-ready decks, one-pagers, briefings, and follow-up materials for internal, customer, partner, investor, and leadership conversations.
- Turn technical, manufacturing, software, and commercial inputs into concise storylines, visuals, talking points, and speaker notes.
- Draft leadership updates, executive emails, fact sheets, company statements, and public-facing copy for review and approval.
- Maintain reusable Growth materials, approved language blocks, current messaging, and a practical content library.
- Prepare decision briefs and non-contract materials for customer follow-up, partner coordination, diligence, data rooms, and proposal support.
- Coordinate with Growth, Capture and Proposals, Government Contracts, Engineering, Manufacturing, Software, Finance, external advisors, and leadership to keep materials accurate, current, and handled with appropriate sensitivity.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- 6+ years in executive communications, strategic communications, product marketing, proposal content, or high-stakes content production.
- Portfolio of executive-level decks, customer materials, public-facing copy, or strategic narratives.
- Strong writing, editing, visual storytelling, and judgment with senior audiences.
- Ability to learn complex technical, industrial, software, and commercial context quickly and make it useful.
- Proven discipline with version control, approvals, confidentiality, and sensitive information.
- Ability to work on-site in Dallas, Texas and support occasional travel or time-sensitive executive and customer material needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in defense-adjacent, advanced manufacturing, robotics, industrial technology, or complex enterprise sales environments.
- Experience supporting proposals, captures, government buyers, prime contractors, investors, or partner diligence.
- Experience building a reusable content library, sales enablement system, or communications operating model from scratch.
WORKING CONDITIONSThis is an on-site role in Dallas, Texas. The role works closely with Growth, Capture and Proposals, Government Contracts, Engineering, Manufacturing, Software, Finance, external advisors, and executive leadership. Work may involve sensitive commercial, defense-adjacent, partner, customer, and export-controlled information, so strong judgment and disciplined handling are required. Some travel may be required for customer meetings, partner meetings, events, or executive communications support.
