Full Job Description
Executive Chef
The Position

Très LA Bistro & Café is seeking a bold, visionary, deeply hospitality driven Executive Chef to lead the culinary direction of our flagship restaurant inside the iconic Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.

This is not a role for someone looking to simply run a kitchen. This is for a chef who wants to build something with soul, identity, energy, and impact.

We are looking for a leader with ambition, creativity, discipline, and presence. Someone who thrives on pushing standards, inspiring teams, and creating food that people cannot stop talking about. The kind of restaurant guests obsess over, recommend instantly, and feel compelled to come back to again and again.

While located within the Pacific Design Center, our vision extends far beyond being a building amenity. We are creating a true hospitality destination, a restaurant people intentionally seek out for business lunches, dinners, cocktails, celebrations, private events, and unforgettable experiences.

Our culinary philosophy is rooted in classic technique, exceptional seasonal ingredients, and a distinctly Los Angeles perspective that celebrates both creativity and approachability.

This is a rare opportunity to help shape something highly visible and deeply special from the ground up, blending exceptional restaurant dining with elevated events and hospitality experiences.

We are searching for a chef who believes hospitality is as important as the food itself, someone who wants to build a team and culture that people are proud to be part of.

If you are hungry to create, hungry to lead, and hungry to build something people cannot stop talking about, we would love to meet you.
What You'll Lead
Culinary Vision & Execution
  • Develop and evolve menus that feel exciting, seasonal, refined, and memorable, balancing beloved signature dishes with fresh, market driven offerings that keep guests engaged
  • Create food that balances creativity with consistency and operational excellence
  • Lead execution across lunch, brunch, dinner, cocktail events, tastings, and private programming
  • Maintain exceptional quality, presentation, and standards across every touchpoint, with an appreciation for thoughtful plating and visual storytelling
Restaurant & Event Integration
  • Oversee culinary execution for restaurant service alongside high level private events and full venue buyouts
  • Design event menus that feel elevated while remaining executable at scale
  • Partner closely with the General Manager, event production, sales, staffing, HR, operations, and leadership teams to create seamless guest experiences
  • Bring strong understanding of both restaurant and catering/event environments
Leadership & Culture
  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high performing culinary team
  • Create a kitchen culture rooted in accountability, professionalism, creativity, collaboration, and respect
  • Lead with presence, positivity, composure, and high standards
  • Develop future culinary leaders through mentorship and hands on coaching
Operational Excellence
  • Oversee food cost, labor management, ordering, inventory, prep systems, cleanliness, and kitchen organization
  • Partner with leadership on forecasting, purchasing, staffing strategy, and operational planning
  • Maintain disciplined systems while fostering a creative and energized environment
Who You Are
  • A strong and inspiring culinary leader with both standards and heart
  • Deeply passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Grounded in strong culinary fundamentals with a refined, modern perspective
  • Experienced in both restaurant service and high level events/catering
  • Someone who thrives in ambitious, fast paced, evolving environments
  • A mentor who genuinely enjoys developing people and building teams
  • A naturally curious chef who stays inspired by new ingredients, evolving trends, and the opportunity to continuously refine their craft
  • Collaborative, solutions oriented, and excited to help shape a growing concept
  • Motivated by excellence and energized by the opportunity to build something special
What We Value
  • Hospitality first, always
  • Creativity with intention
  • Humility and collaboration
  • Excellence without ego
  • Genuine care for people
  • Beautiful experiences, thoughtfully executed
  • Teams that feel inspired, supported, and proud of their work
Why This Role

This is a rare opportunity to help define a restaurant from its early stages inside one of Los Angeles' most visually iconic environments.

For the right chef, this role offers the chance to:
  • Build a name within a respected hospitality group
  • Shape a culinary identity from the ground up
  • Lead both restaurant and event culinary experiences
  • Inspire and develop a talented team
  • Be part of something with real momentum, creativity, and long term vision

If you are someone who loves hospitality, loves people, loves food, and wants to build something guests cannot stop talking about, we would love to meet you.
