Job Summary:

The Executive Assistant to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the CHRO and the HR Senior leadership team. The Executive Assistant plays a critical role in enabling the effectiveness of the CHRO and HR senior leadership team by driving operational excellence, fostering cross-functional alignment, and creating structure, clarity, and momentum across strategic priorities and initiatives.

This position must be committed to completing a wide variety of tasks independently with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.This position partners closely with the HR Chief of Staff to design, build, execute and manage processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness in alignment with company and HR priorities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide poised and resourceful administrative assistance and partnership to the CHRO and the HR Senior Leadership Team with a demonstrated ability to accomplish goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and complex work environment.
  • Serve as a strategic partner by orchestrating priorities, managing complex calendars and travel, anticipating needs, resolving conflicts, and creating the conditions for HR Leaders to focus on the highest-impact business outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR Chief of Staff to create, establish, implement, and oversee processes that enhance efficiency and effectiveness for the CHRO and the HR Sr. Leadership Team.
  • Partner with HR Senior Leaders to coordinate key initiatives, manage priorities, and keep work moving forward by connecting teams, identifying risks, and turning complex or evolving situations into clear plans and actions.
  • Maintain composure and provide stability and clarity during change by anticipating impacts, adjusting plans as needed, and helping the team stay aligned and focused.
  • Cultivate a strong understanding of Vail Resorts' business and strategic priorities, applying curiosity, learning agility, and sound judgment to provide insights, recommendations, and proactive support.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills as a leader in your role and a contributor in a team-driven environment.
  • Excellent self-management skills: calm under pressure, organization, time-management, self-motivation, self-directing, stress management, reliability and accountability.
  • Operate with a clear understanding of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism to build trust with the CHRO, HR Chief of Staff, HR Sr. Leadership Team, and HR organization.
  • Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders including the executive committee and their assistants and Chiefs of Staff.
  • Create a high level of trust and confidence acting with the utmost professionalism and discretion over the phone, through written communication and in person to accomplish requests and achieve goals.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of leadership meetings, team events, and business initiatives/special projects, ensuring strong communication, smooth execution, and follow-through on outcomes.
  • Maintain comprehensive skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote, Teams, Concur Expense Reporting, and DocuSign.


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience supporting a C-Suite executive required.
  • 5+ years' experience providing support to multiple Vice Presidents as an Administrative Assistant required.
  • Strong leadership skills: agility, critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, and collaboration.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook) required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Must be a progressive learner, organized, detail oriented, and professional.
  • Ability to multi-task with shifting priorities in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Must be flexible, resourceful, and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
  • Experience working for a publicly held company preferred.
  • Possible limited travel to Colorado Mountain Resorts and In Office requirements


The expected Total Compensation for this role is $80,000.00 - $100,000.00. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a 'Hybrid' work environment for Broomfield-based roles where employees must live within 50 miles of the Broomfield office and work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays.
