Your Role

The Executive Assistant will serve as a trusted business partner to the Chief Merchandising Officer (CMO) and provide administrative support to 1-2 Vice Presidents within the Merchandising organization. This role is responsible for managing complex calendars, coordinating domestic travel, preparing leaders for key meetings, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations for a fast-paced executive team.

Success in this role requires exceptional judgment, proactive planning, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise. The ideal candidate thrives in a highly collaborative, complex, and matrixed retail environment and demonstrates discretion, adaptability, and a customer-service mindset while supporting senior leaders and business priorities.

This position is based in New York City and follows a hybrid work model, with a minimum expectation of three days per week in the office, or more frequently as business needs require. Occasional travel to Columbus, Ohio may be required to support key business meetings and leadership events.

Your Impact

  • Serve as primary Executive Assistant to the Chief Merchandising Officer, providing high-level administrative and operational support.
  • Manage complex and ever-changing executive calendars, strategically prioritizing meeting requests and proactively resolving conflicts while protecting leader capacity and focus.
  • Anticipate upcoming business needs, prepare leaders for meetings, and ensure they have the appropriate materials, context, and information in advance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Merchandising organization, key business priorities, seasonal milestones, and leadership meeting cadence.
  • Exercise sound judgment in prioritizing communications, requests, and meeting invitations on behalf of supported leaders.
  • Coordinate and manage domestic travel arrangements, including air, hotel, ground transportation, itineraries, and travel-related logistics.
  • Process and reconcile expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, off-sites, leadership reviews, and business events, including logistics, agendas, materials, technology support, and catering as appropriate.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of meetings and decisions across Merchandising, Design, Product Development, Planning, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and other enterprise partners.
  • Create, edit, and format executive-level presentations, communications, and meeting materials with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Act as a key liaison between senior leadership and internal stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships across the organization.
  • Proactively seek out information and insights needed to support leaders, anticipate questions, and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Assistant community to ensure consistent support, coverage, and execution across Brand and Product organizations.

Your Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of Executive Assistant experience supporting C-level executives, senior vice presidents, or equivalent leadership in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Experience supporting senior retail, merchandising, product, brand, or consumer-facing business leaders strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex executive calendars with a proactive and strategic mindset.
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to anticipate executive needs, exercise independent judgment, and operate with minimal direction.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and navigate effectively within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong experience creating polished executive presentations and meeting materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience coordinating domestic travel, managing expenses, and supporting executive events and meetings.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a resourceful, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
  • Experience partnering effectively with executive assistants, chiefs of staff, and cross-functional business teams.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, is a plus
