Full Job Description
MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Physician Executive Director of Colorectal Surgery. In this highly visible role, you'll partner with physician leadership, faculty, hospital executives, and multidisciplinary teams to help advance the department's clinical, academic, research, and operational priorities. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: As the Executive Assistant, you'll be a trusted partner to the Physician Executive Director by: • Managing executive operations by coordinating complex calendars, meetings, travel, correspondence, presentations, reports, and special projects while anticipating priorities and ensuring day-to-day activities run smoothly. • Supporting departmental administration by preparing agendas and meeting materials, maintaining databases and records, coordinating reimbursements, monitoring budgets and purchasing activities, and assisting with operational reporting. • Serving as a key liaison between physician leadership, faculty, hospital departments, and external partners to facilitate communication, coordinate initiatives, and ensure timely follow-through on projects and organizational priorities. • Providing executive and physician support through document preparation, meeting coordination, credentialing and licensure support, committee administration, and oversight of confidential information while maintaining exceptional professionalism and discretion. • Driving organizational excellence by supporting quality improvement initiatives, departmental projects, onboarding and personnel activities, technology coordination, and other strategic initiatives that contribute to the success of the Division of Colorectal Surgery. Minimal Qualifications: Required • Associate's degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) • Three or more years of progressively responsible administrative experience • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Advanced organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database applications Preferred • Bachelor's degree • Previous Executive Assistant or senior administrative support experience • Experience supporting physician executives, healthcare leadership, or academic medicine • Supervisory or team leadership experience • Experience coordinating budgets, meetings, travel, credentialing, or complex projects within a healthcare environment This position has a hiring range of USD $59,820.00 - USD $101,836.00 /Yr.
