Full Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Category Management to lead, execute, and monitor procurement sourcing activities across assigned categories while supporting enterprise procurement objectives. Manage and develop the Category Management Team to deliver sourcing, supplier management, and contract management initiatives.

The position requires a strategic leader who can drive supplier performance, lead cross-functional initiatives, and execute category strategies that deliver measurable business value. The role partners with Procurement Operations, Finance, Legal, IT, Risk & Compliance, business stakeholders, and suppliers to optimize supplier relationships, manage risk, and advance procurement objectives through continuous improvement and effective governance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of category management and strategic sourcing strategies for assigned categories, including enterprise software and tools, to achieve procurement objectives, mitigate risk, and optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Procure to Pay and procurement leadership to develop and execute enterprise category strategies aligned with business priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders by translating business objectives into sourcing and supplier strategies that improve value, reduce risk, and enable growth.
  • Present sourcing strategies, supplier recommendations, and business cases to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop category management team members through performance management, training, and career development.
  • Apply current market intelligence and procurement best practices to strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract management activities.
  • Identify and execute opportunities that optimize total cost of ownership, improve supplier performance, reduce risk, increase operational efficiency and deliver measurable business value.
  • Support annual budgeting and financial planning activities for assigned categories while managing expenditures within approved budgets.
  • Monitor supplier and category performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective action plans where appropriate.
  • Lead negotiations for supplier agreements and contract renewals within delegated authority, partnering with business stakeholders, leadership and Legal on strategic agreements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to improve performance, innovation, and service delivery.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement solutions support operational and business objectives.
  • Promote consistent procurement processes, category management methodologies, and knowledge sharing across the procurement organization.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance requirements, and company standards.
  • Perform core people leadership responsibilities including workforce planning, assigning work, hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, employee development, and addressing performance concerns


Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field.
  • Master's degree and/or CPSM, CPSD, PMP, or similar professional certification preferred.
  • 7-10 years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or category management experience, including at least 3 years of people leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading category management and strategic sourcing initiatives that deliver measurable business value.
  • Strong experience with supplier negotiations, contract management, cost analysis, and market research.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and market intelligence to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and support sound business decisions.
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills with cross-functional business partners and external suppliers.
  • Experience developing and coaching procurement professionals while fostering a high-performance team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Coupa procurement system, sourcing tools, contract lifecycle management platforms, data driven reporting and spend analytics solutions.
  • Strong communication, project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


Where: Remote, US
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States, if you're close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is between $130,000 - $145,000 USD per year with a variable component included in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
