Position Overview:
The Auditor II position primarily assists on audit projects, investigations, and other special projects as needed. This position will work primarily on healthcare compliance related financial and operational audit and monitoring engagements. The Auditor II is responsible for assigned phases of the project including planning, fieldwork, findings development, written reports, presentations to management, and problem resolution. In addition, as experience is gained, this position will be expected to work independently on assignments. Knowledge of healthcare operations, contracts, and financial statements is highly desired. Knowledge of formal audit methodology is preferred.

The candidate selected must come on site for meetings, etc. as needed and live in the Northern California Sutter Health footprint.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or other Business Administration area. or equivalent education/experience


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 years recent relevant experience


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of internal audit leading practices and computerized auditing techniques.
  • General knowledge of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
  • Advanced analytical and project management skills, including the ability to analyze data and information, reach practical conclusions, recommend corrective actions, resolve conflicts, and institute effective changes.
  • Able to display a high degree of professionalism and leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical or sensitive information related to audit activities clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access), Microsoft Visio or other flowcharting tool, audit software applications.


Ability to:
  • work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team, while demonstrating excellent organization skills.

Pay Range is $94,848.00 to $142,272.00 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
