Full Job Description
This executive role is responsible for developing and managing the firm's most critical ETF distribution relationships across national accounts, including broker-dealer and national RIA intermediaries, as well as emerging institutional and fintech partners.

The Head of ETF Strategic Relationships will also oversee a high-performing team of relationship managers, event managers, and client portfolio strategists, ensuring cohesive coverage and alignment with the firm's growth objectives. The role combines senior relationship ownership with team leadership, requiring both strategic vision and operational execution.

What you do:

Relationship Management & Distribution Strategy: Act as the senior point of contact for national wealth management platforms across wire houses, independent broker-dealers, regionals, and national RIAs. Lead engagement with emerging institutional buyers, including ETF model portfolio managers, pension consultants, OCIOs, and bank trust departments. Build and expand fintech distribution partnerships (e.g., TAMPs, digital advice platforms, model marketplaces). Negotiate selling agreements, preferred partner placements, and strategic initiatives that expand ETF market share. Oversee all firm sponsorships, conference participation, and event presence to ensure strategic visibility and brand alignment. Partner with ETF sales and marketing teams to drive platform engagement and product adoption.

Team Leadership & Development: Directly manage and mentor a team of relationship managers, event managers, and client portfolio strategists, aligning resources to maximize impact across channels. Set team priorities, KPIs, and accountability frameworks to ensure high performance. Foster a collaborative, client-centric culture that emphasizes execution, innovation, and professional development. Serve as a senior leader and advocate for the distribution team internally, ensuring visibility and recognition for their contributions.

Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with portfolio management, product strategy, compliance, and operations to ensure consistent client delivery. Serve as a key voice in shaping and driving the overall strategy of the ETF business, bringing direct insights from clients, platforms, and distribution partners. Act as the voice of clients and platforms in internal product and strategic discussions. Represent the ETF business at industry conferences, board meetings, and other external events.

Business Growth & Market Intelligence: Drive ETF inflows by aligning firm capabilities with channel opportunities. Deliver competitive intelligence and insights on evolving distribution dynamics to senior leadership. Translate market feedback into actionable input for product design, pricing, and marketing strategy. Regularly report business results and progress to executive leadership.

Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).

What you bring:
  • Minimum 11+ years of experience required. 11+ years of experience in ETF or asset management distribution, with senior leadership experience. Established network and credibility with national accounts, intermediaries, institutional investors, and fintech platforms. Strong understanding of ETF structures, capital markets, and industry trends.
  • Four-year degree required.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63 & 24.
  • Ability to attend evening business functions. Domestic and international travel 30-60%.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.


Job posting range: $180,000 - $200,000

Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. In addition to base salary, a portion of your total compensation is based on variable compensation. Actual variable compensation earned is driven by assigned territory and individual sales performance.
