Role Overview: The Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role combines estimating, budgeting, contract review, project planning, resource coordination, customer communication, and field management to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing preconstruction responsibilities with active project management while maintaining strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
Key Responsibilities Estimating:
- Review bid invitations, plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine project fit and identify scope of work.
- Perform quantity takeoffs, prepare accurate cost estimates, evaluate pricing for source materials and subcontractors from supplies and establish purchase orders.
- Collaborate with CFO and leadership team to prepare and submit bids, create project budgets, prepare schedule of values and support AIA billing.
Project Management:
- Manage projects through completion, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, quality standards, and customer expectations.
- Coordinate material procurement and resource allocation.
- Maintain records for daily reports, job tracking, productivity measures and quality control.
- Oversee project closeout, including punch lists, final documentation, customer turnover, and final billing.
- Supervise, train and conduct performance discussions with field staff while promoting a culture of safety, accountability and effective communication.
Qualifications - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or a combination of both.
- Experience managing utility, sitework, civil, infrastructure, underground, or commercial construction projects preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid Driver's license.

Compensation:• Salary Range $70,000 to $120,000 depending on experience
