  • Develop project scopes and budgets for project managers and customers.
  • Participate in subcontractor nominations for budget estimates.
  • Update the subcontractor database as needed.
  • Conduct cost comparisons and analyses upon request.
  • Consistently update cost data in relevant databases and reference materials.
  • Monitor and update computer-aided estimating software.
  • Provide quantity takeoffs reflecting changes in construction drawings.
  • Work within a team to deliver estimating support to meet customer needs.
  • Assist project managers in achieving successful estimates for their projects.
  • Manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced environment.
  • Engage in site visits and pre-bid walks as required.

Primary Duties
  • Collaborate in managing the bidding process including document control, solicitation of subcontractor bids, and plan center interface.
  • Develop scopes and budgets that will provide the Project Managers with clear, comprehensive information suitable for review by the customer.
  • Participate in the nomination and election of subcontractors for design-build subcontractor budget estimates.
  • Update subcontractor database when necessary.
  • Perform cost comparison and analysis as requested.
  • Consistently update cost information in the database and procure cost information resources (i.e., reference books).
  • Monitor and update computer-aided estimating software systems.
  • Provide quantity takeoffs of any changes on the drawings between the permit set and the construction set.
  • Work in a team environment to provide estimating assistance in whatever capacity to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Work with Project Managers in the company to help them succeed in all estimating on their projects. This is about teamwork. This expectation is intended to foster cooperation throughout the company in all ways.
  • Managing multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in site visits and pre-bid walks with the team as needed.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience running estimates from start to completion for healthcare projects ranging from $1M to $20M
  • Experience in inpatient healthcare or occupied renovations.
  • Strong understanding of hospital and clinical building systems and requirements is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Assemble, Revit, WinEst, Beck Destini, AutoCAD, and On-Screen Takeoff.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other relevant field.


The full salary range for this position is $80,000 to $140,000. This position is eligible for a target bonus.

Note: Sick leave accrues at one (1) hour for every 30 hours worked. Accrual for sick leave is capped at 240 hours. At the end of each calendar year, you will be allowed to carry over accrued and unused sick leave up to 240 hours. You will not begin accruing sick leave until you drop below the accrual cap.
