JOB SUMMARYPrepare complete estimates for assigned project(s) of any size and complexity either directly or through subordinate personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience.
- Four to seven years estimating, cost control and/or engineering experience in construction.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES- Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills are essential.
- Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control, plus the ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems essential.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures.
- Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work.
- Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid/project as assigned.
- Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimates and figures.
- Interface with owner, A/E, and other contractors to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility.
- Follow awarded contracts as assigned - may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring material, etc.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS- $85,000 - $120,000
- Benefits Day 1 - Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Basic Life Insurance, Contributory Life Insurance, AD&D Insurance, HSA, FSA, FSA - Dependent Care; Benefits - 1st of the Month - Short Term Disability
