Full Job Description
Position Title: Estimator

Build your estimating career on complex infrastructure projects where precision, technical thinking, and problem-solving directly shape the finished product. A well-established precast and pre-stressed concrete manufacturer and construction organization is seeking an Estimator to support infrastructure and bridge projects from initial bid through execution.

This role will own estimates from start to finish, including blueprint review, takeoffs, pricing, scope analysis, change orders, and coordination with sales, project management, and suppliers. The ideal candidate has hands-on exposure to precast concrete and infrastructure projects, understands how to break down construction drawings, and wants to grow within a highly specialized area of the industry.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 / Year, DOE

Responsibilities
  • Manage estimates and bids from initial review through final submission
  • Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate takeoffs and pricing
  • Estimate precast and pre-stressed concrete components for bridge and infrastructure projects
  • Partner with sales and project management teams to evaluate scope changes, change orders, and material cost impacts
  • Coordinate with suppliers and sourcing teams to price specialized materials and project requirements
  • Manage multiple active estimates and projects simultaneously
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for takeoffs, drawings, and project visualization as needed
  • Participate in limited site visits to support project scoping and estimating requirements

Requirements
  • Experience working with precast or pre-stressed concrete, ideally within an estimating, production, or project environment
  • Exposure to infrastructure or bridge projects
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and break down construction blueprints
  • Comfortable working in a detail-intensive, computer-based estimating environment
  • Understanding of construction scopes, materials, and project costs
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Willingness to complete initial onsite training and travel onsite as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of blueprint review, estimating, or related infrastructure experience
  • Direct precast or pre-stressed concrete estimating experience
  • Bridge, heavy civil, or highway construction experience
  • Experience managing change orders and coordinating with suppliers
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
