Full Job Description
Position Title: Estimator

Help modernize the estimating function for a growing commercial contractor with a strong pipeline of hospitality projects. We are seeking an experienced Estimator to manage takeoffs, bid packages, and project estimates across commercial construction projects, with a significant focus on hotel and hospitality renovations. This role will work closely with company leadership, subcontractors, and project teams while helping expand the use of Procore throughout the estimating process.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in commercial construction estimating, is highly proficient with Excel, and is comfortable managing multiple bids and deadlines at once. Someone who combines hands-on estimating experience with strong technology skills and a collaborative, flexible approach will thrive in this environment.

Salary Range: $105,000 - $130,000 / Year DOE

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates, takeoffs, and bid packages for commercial construction projects
  • Develop estimates for hospitality renovations, including hotel projects involving finishes such as paint, flooring, and other interior scopes
  • Compile subcontractor pricing, general conditions, and supporting information for ground-up and renovation projects
  • Use Procore and Excel to support takeoffs, estimating, and bid-package development
  • Attend bid walkthroughs, visit local project sites, and take field measurements as needed
  • Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting client bid and proposal deadlines
  • Assist with buyout and procurement activities during periods of lighter estimating volume

Requirements
  • Approximately 3-5 years of commercial construction estimating experience
  • Strong understanding of construction estimating fundamentals, takeoffs, and bid preparation
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with estimating technology
  • Ability to manage changing priorities, multiple bids, and time-sensitive deadlines
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small, hands-on team environment
  • Willingness to work onsite and travel locally for project walkthroughs, with limited air travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience estimating hospitality or hotel construction projects
  • General contractor estimating experience
  • Experience with Procore estimating, takeoff, or project management tools
  • Experience with commercial renovation and/or ground-up construction
  • Experience estimating for a specialty subcontractor with the ability to transition into broader general contracting work
