We9re hiring an Estimating Manager to join County Prestress & Precast in Westmont, IL.

Job Summary:
The Estimating Manager oversees the function for prestress and precast concrete projects, ensuring the development of accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates. This role provides leadership to the estimating team and collaborates cross-functionally to support successful project bids and proposals.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the estimating team, promoting accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain standardized estimating procedures, tools, and best practices.
  • Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Analyze project costs, risks, and assumptions using strong quantitative and analytical judgment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, sales, and preconstruction teams to ensure scope alignment and bid accuracy.
  • Manage bid schedules and ensure timely, complete, and compliant proposal submissions.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and site visits as required.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, unit pricing, and historical estimating data.
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities and alternative solutions to enhance competitiveness.
  • Clearly communicate estimate assumptions, risks, opportunities, and changes to stakeholders.
  • Ensure all bid documentation and opportunity files are properly created, maintained, and updated.
  • Serve as a change agent to improve estimating processes, productivity, and consistency.

Experience & Qualifications:

Education:
