The Estate Planning Legal Assistant will work closely with our attorneys throughout the entire estate planning process-from gathering client information and preparing documents through execution, finalization, and post-signing follow-up.
The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in producing accurate work, thrives in a fast-paced professional environment, communicates confidently with clients, and understands that even the smallest details matter when preparing estate planning documents.
Prior experience in
estate planning, probate, elder law, or another document-intensive legal practice is strongly preferred.

- Prior experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal; estate planning, probate, or elder law experience is strongly preferred.

- The ability to manage multiple client matters and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proofreading and document-review abilities.

- The ability to follow established processes while identifying opportunities to improve them.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive client information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Comfort learning and working with legal practice-management and document-automation technology.

QualificationsPreferred The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
• Prior estate planning experience.
• Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or paralegal certificate.
• Experience with
WealthCounsel, ElderDocx, HotDocs, or similar document-assembly software.
• Experience with legal practice-management software.
• Experience preparing deeds and coordinating recording.
• Florida Notary Public commission or willingness to become a Notary Public.
• Experience working in a high-volume or growing law firm.
