Full Job Description
Busy boutique law firm specializing in Estate Planning and Administration is seeking an experienced attorney to join their team. The associate attorney will be responsible for both production and project management of all aspects of estate planning, probate, trust administration and non-probate transfer matters, including: • Supervision of other team members to assist with complicated matters and to ensure efficiency, promptness and high quality work • Client interaction to answer questions, explain procedures, meeting with clients to determine clients' needs and to plan and strategize with and for clients • Attend probate court hearings, and communicate with probate examiners as needed • Drafting revocable living trusts and complex estate plans including medical asset protection trusts, retirement trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and testamentary charitable leading annuity trusts that are particular and customized to each client's needs • Drafting trust-related petitions, motions, and declarations regarding a variety of probate and trust matters including petitions to modify and/or terminate trusts, and petitions to create joint estate plan when one spouse is deemed incapacitated • Prepare probate and trust accountings • Customizing and proofreading software-generated/template documents In addition, the associate attorney will be expected to assist with or complete internal projects designed to enhance the firm's communication, systemization, productivity, and work product quality.
