JOB SUMMARYThe ERP Systems Manager is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and optimization of Pankow's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform (CMiC) and associated business systems. This role serves as the primary liaison between business functional areas and ERP vendors.
JOB SCOPE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPrimary Accountabilities
ERP System Administration & Security- Oversee the end-to-end setup and deletion process for users.
- Monitor and manage license counts across platforms.
- Manage security groups and roles.
System Maintenance, Testing & Quality Assurance- Patch & Hotfix Management: Schedule and coordinate testing and installation of ERP patches.
- Product Enhancements: Evaluate and test new ERP functions, products, or modules to determine business value and implementation requirements.
- Technical Documentation: Document ERP change management.
Business Process & Workflow Automation- Workflow Design: Map out, structure, and sequence business tasks from start to finish to maximize efficiency.
- Project Integration Support: Partner with project teams and accountants to manage specific job/project setup steps and access requirements.
- Business Analysis: Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for technology-driven efficiency and automation.
Analytics & Vendor Management- Vendor Liaison: Lead weekly status meetings and working sessions with key vendors (CMiC, Palmer/Analytics) to drive issue resolution and product roadmaps.
- Dashboard & BI Oversight: Manage end-user access and configuration for CMiC Analytics and Palmer-integrated dashboards.
- Ticket Queue Management: Monitor and prioritize ticket queues in FreshService and vendor support portals to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
- Community Engagement: Represent Pankow in the CMiC User Group (CMUG) and monitor "User Voice" for industry trends and desired system modifications.
Secondary Accountabilities
- Compliance Monitoring: Maintain system compliance with internal standards and audit requirements.
- Training Coordination: Support end-user learning by identifying training needs and coordinating materials or webinars for system updates.
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is typical.
- Certifications in ERP management, CMiC experience, Business Analysis (CBAP), or Project Management (PMP) are preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of CMiC (or similar Tier-1 Construction ERP).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to map business processes, identify gaps, and design technical solutions.
- Security & Compliance: Familiarity with role-based access control (RBAC) and audit standards for financial and payroll data.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical business users and executives.
- Tools: Proficiency with FreshService (or similar ITSM), BI/Analytics tools (Palmer), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Experience:
- 5 - 8 years of experience in ERP administration or business systems analysis is required; CMiC experience is preferred.
- Experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is preferred.
Note: Occasional travel may be required for vendor conferences or regional office support.
