Position Description: Help Modernize ERP Solutions for Public Sector Clients

CGI is seeking an ERP Business Analyst to join our team supporting ERP application upgrades, enhancements, and modernization initiatives for public sector clients.
In this role, you will work closely with client stakeholders, finance, budget, and human resources teams, as well as technical resources, to understand business needs, analyze existing processes, define functional requirements, configure application functionality, and support testing and implementation activities.

Location and Work Model
This full-time career opportunity is based in Los Angeles, CA, with work performed at the client site. CGI's hybrid work model generally includes working onsite 2-3 days per week. For this project, onsite expectations may vary based on project and client needs, with approximately 25-50% onsite presence or as directed by the Project Manager. Currently, team members located in the Los Angeles area are onsite for approximately one full week per month.
Candidates located elsewhere within the Mountain or Western regions may also be considered. Candidates outside the Los Angeles area should be prepared to travel a minimum of three times per year, with travel frequency subject to change based on project and business needs.
A Typical Day
As an ERP Business Analyst, you may:
• Meet with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand operational needs and priorities.
• Analyze current-state business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Configure and validate application functionality based on approved requirements.
• Develop functional specifications and supporting documentation.
• Support system, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Investigate functional issues and support production problem resolution.
• Collaborate with business users, developers, technical teams, and project leadership.
• Participate in project meetings, workshops, status discussions, and solution reviews.
Your future duties and responsibilities:How you'll make an impact• Partner with client stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational challenges, and functional requirements.
• Analyze existing business processes, applications, and legacy information to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional requirements and specifications for technical and product teams.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
• Document current-state and future-state business processes and help develop functional and solution design documentation.
• Configure application functionality to support approved business requirements.
• Validate system configuration and functionality against documented requirements.
• Perform functional and system testing and support clients through UAT.
• Analyze defects and production issues and collaborate with technical teams to determine appropriate resolutions.
• Support the integration of business processes and application functionality with related systems.
• Prioritize requirements and initiatives based on business needs, project objectives, and implementation priorities.
• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, end users, developers, technical resources, and project leadership.
• Maintain strong attention to detail while understanding broader business and project objectives.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:What you'll bring• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, ERP Analyst, or in a similar functional role.
• Experience working with an ERP application or comparable enterprise business system is preferred, including exposure to business process analysis, requirements gathering, functional configuration, testing, or implementation support. Candidates with strong Business Analyst or Functional Analyst experience in complex enterprise application environments will also be considered.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.
• Experience facilitating requirements workshops and working sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Experience developing functional specifications, process documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Experience supporting system testing and UAT, including requirements validation and defect resolution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical system solutions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working within an Agile or iterative delivery environment.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience supporting government or public sector clients.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP application, particularly in a functional Business Analyst or Functional Analyst capacity.
• Experience with ERP or enterprise application functionality supporting areas such as finance, budgeting, human resources, procurement, or other enterprise administrative functions.
• Experience supporting ERP or enterprise application upgrades, implementations, enhancements, or modernization initiatives.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization to identify trends, support decision-making, and communicate business insights.
• Experience working with integrated enterprise applications and understanding dependencies between business processes and technology systems.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $69,200.00 $121,100.00.
