Qualifications

• Current Licensure as a registered nurse in Texas is mandatory.
• Specialization certification is preferred to enhance qualifications.
• Must hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) are preferred certifications.
• BSN is required; diploma from an accredited nursing program must be completed.
• At least 3 years of management experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide and direct nursing staff for safe, effective patient care.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills in all interactions.
• Lead clinical competency initiatives and emergency preparedness programs.
• Conduct interviews, orientations, and performance evaluations for staff management.
• Implement staffing patterns and manage staff assignments effectively.
• Investigate and respond to patient and staff concerns as needed.
• Develop strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and care quality.
• Oversee payroll approvals and ensure timely administrative duties.
• Facilitate regular staff meetings and huddles for clear communication.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory agency requirements and standards.
