Join us as an Equity Trading Analyst

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting an Equity Trading Analyst to join our Capital Partners team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team and learn the many responsibilities of the Trading and Portfolio Construction team. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner, adaptable, disciplined and detailed oriented, with a solid understanding of financial markets. This role requires the ability to work in a high-pressure environment from time to time, and the ability to be at your desk during US market hours.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

Equity Trading:
  • Learn the responsibilities of the current buy-side trader and act as an independent backup as needed
  • Review Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and help develop trading strategies based on results
  • Help manage sell-side relationships and latest tools from brokers

ETF Support:
  • Provide support in the capital markets space for Equity ETFs
  • Learn the internal ETF ecosystem and look for ways to improve current processes
  • Responsible for executing ETF orders that come to the trading desk efficiently and accurately

Portfolio Management Support:
  • Support the Portfolio Managers across the different equity products in an array of different operational tasks
  • Construct equity strategy trades across Institutional Accounts and Funds
  • Work with BBH Relationship Managers to answer questions about their accounts and build trades for them as needed
  • Other aspects of the role could include cash management, proxy reporting, broker research budgeting and daily break reconciliation.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required
  • Must have strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Prior trading and/or portfolio implementation experience is a plus
  • Charles River/Bloomberg experience a plus

SQL or other coding skills would be a benefit

Salary Range

NY: $85,000 - $105,000 base salary + annual bonus
