Job DescriptionJefferies is seeking an equity research senior associate to join our team covering Consumer (Beverages, Consumer Products, Health & Wellness). Coverage areas include leading and emerging brands, suppliers, distributors, innovators, and retailers across the consumer landscape.
Responsibilities will include:- Conducting proprietary research evaluating the competitive landscape, analyzing industry news and company filings, attending conferences, and speaking with key opinion leaders
- Interfacing with company management teams, internal sales and trading personnel, and institutional investors
- Building and maintaining financial models and proprietary databases
- Writing research reports for initiations of coverage, analysis of data, and industry/company news
- Conceiving and executing on differentiated project ideas
Key qualifications:- 3+ years of equity research or buyside investment management experience
- Extremely proficient in financial & data modeling utilizing Excel, alternative data, coding, AI
- Strong familiarity with AI tools and agents, including experience with prompt development and leveraging AI to enhance workflows and productivity
- Solid ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Interested in the industry topic area, with some degree of familiarity with the industry as analyst or consumer

- Aspiration to develop coverage independence over time
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $135,000 - $165,000.
