The Equipment Engineer II supports manufacturing operations through the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production equipment.
This role ensures equipment reliability, supports process optimization, and leads equipment-related validation activities to maintain efficient and compliant manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment, including IQ/OQ/PQ execution Apply calibration and metrology principles to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Monitor equipment performance metrics (OEE, downtime trends) to identify improvements

The Equipment Engineer II is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of production equipment.

This role ensures equipment reliability, supports process optimization, and leads equipment-related validation activities to maintain efficient and compliant manufacturing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime.

Support the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment, including execution of Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ).

Apply calibration and metrology principles to ensure equipment accuracy and compliance with required specifications. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Monitor equipment performance metrics, including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and downtime trends, to identify opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and improve production yield. Provide technical support for production line equipment and automation systems to maintain operational efficiency.

Develop and execute equipment validation protocols and documentation in support of manufacturing and quality requirementsResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.

Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
