  • Report to the CFO of one of our 4 segments: Truck, Utilities, Enthusiast and Lincoln.
  • M&S Finance is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Pricing Lead to play a critical role in shaping our competitive market position and driving revenue growth in a dynamic marketplace.
  • This strategic position will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive pricing strategies for one or more vehicles, ensuring Ford remains competitive, delivers exceptional value to our customers, and achieves our financial targets.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Competitive Price Benchmarking: Lead comprehensive and continuous competitive price benchmarking efforts. This includes in-depth analysis of competitor pricing models, product offerings, market trends, and customer willingness-to-pay to inform strategic pricing decisions across our portfolio.
  • Go-to-Market Price Strategy Development: Develop, define, and execute robust go-to-market pricing strategies for new and existing Ford products, services, and software solutions. Collaborate extensively with product development, sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with overall business objectives and market realities.
  • Forward Model Revenue Lead: Serve as the critical revenue lead for future product programs and forward models. Provide strategic financial leadership and input on volume, mix, and rate assumptions, ensuring new offerings are positioned for optimal revenue generation and profitability from concept to launch.
  • Forecast Management (Mix & Rates): Own and optimize the forecasting processes for product mix and rates. Develop and manage forecasting models, ensuring accuracy and providing actionable insights to senior leadership for strategic business planning and resource allocation.
  • Ad Hoc Financial Close Analysis: Conduct timely and insightful ad hoc financial analysis related to the financial close process. Identify key variances, trends, and opportunities for revenue optimization, providing clear explanations and recommendations to management.
  • Specialized Ad Hoc Projects: Lead and execute targeted ad hoc projects that provide deep analytical insights to support strategic decision-making. Examples of such projects may include: Equipment-Adjusted Pricing Comparisons: Detailed analysis of pricing strategies accounting for various equipment configurations and their impact on value perception and profitability.
  • Capacity Studies: In-depth assessment of supply and demand dynamics, and their potential influence on pricing elasticity and market positioning.
  • Price Band Reviews: Comprehensive evaluations of existing price bands and tiers to optimize product segmentation, customer targeting, and revenue capture.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to effectively collaborate, influence, and build strong relationships with diverse operating partners across various functions (e.g., product development, sales, marketing, finance, engineering).
  • In-depth Business Analysis: Demonstrated expertise in conducting rigorous, in-depth business analysis. You're capable of synthesizing complex market factors, economic indicators, competitive intelligence, and internal data to derive strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Initiative & Proactiveness: A strong sense of initiative and a proactive mindset. You possess the ability to identify critical business needs, define complex problems, and independently initiate and drive solutions in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You don't wait to be told what to do; you find and create your own impactful work.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a business centered degree
  • Helpful Internal Experience: Marketing & Sales, PD, Manufacturing, Yield Management
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in pricing, financial analysis, strategy, business analytics, or a related commercial role, preferably within the automotive, commercial vehicle, or technology sectors.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
