The University of Miami Health System ("UHealth") IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Epic Training Lead.
The Epic Training Lead trains and supports the institution's clinical systems required for patient care and maintains a solid understanding of the overall integration of business applications to provide training and support to staff members. The Epic Training Lead leads in the communication of new policies and procedures and serves as the primary support contact in all matters related to training. The Epic Training Lead assists junior team members' work efforts in the communication of training policies, coordination of required training, and management of all aspects of classroom and virtual training. The incumbent maintains the scope, schedule, and quality of training as well as maintains current knowledge of UHealth's policies, procedures, and business operations.
3 Administers training activities to reinforce appropriate system usage in the delivery of robust patient-centered care.
3 Reviews project plan, monitors tasks and milestones, and reports changes/status to senior leadership.
3 Provides instruction to junior team members and reviews training through the entire training life cycle while meeting deadlines and initiatives.
3 Leads the communication of new policies and procedures related to training.
3 Serves as the primary resource for junior application team members on all aspects of training.
3 Oversees all phases of training, the analysis of new training implementation, and validation of the impacts on the workflow.
3 Reviews the identification and troubleshooting of training issues that arise and delegates the work to resolve them.
3 Oversees the evaluation and resolution of training issues, identification and implementation of requested training changes, retrieval of requested data, and day-to-day training operations.
3 Collaborates with analysts on application changes and new features to develop training strategies.
3 Reviews the interaction with stakeholders, the business community, and end-users to ensure training meets UHealth's business/clinical needs.
3 Maintains regular communication with team members and leads weekly project team meetings.
3 Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
3 Analyzes, designs, builds, tests, and troubleshoot application and technical issues related to training environments (MST).
3 Participates in pre-production simulations, workflow integration, testing, and validation of system functionality.
3 Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions:
As a Training Lead, you will report to the Director of the group and will be responsible for:
3 Leading training efforts and delivering high-quality ILT and VILT for end users.
3 Mentoring and supporting Principal and Credentialed trainers while maintaining training standards.
3 Partnering with analysts and stakeholders to align training with workflow and system changes.
3 Managing the full training lifecycle, including curriculum, environment readiness, and go-live support.
3 Collaborating with Instructional Designer to identify training gaps and drive continuous improvement to ensure effective Epic adoption.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
3 Bachelor's degree in relevant field
3 EpicCare Ambulatory/Kaleidoscope Certifications required
3 5 years of relevant experience preferable in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
3 Experience supporting outpatient environments, with a strong understanding of physician, nurse and ancillary roles' workflows, hospital outpatient departments, and end-to-end patient experiences.
3 Knowledge of integrated healthcare workflows, including scheduling, laboratory services, radiology, billing, and inpatient clinical operations.
3 Familiarity with ophthalmology physician practices' workflows and patient experiences.
3 Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
3 Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
3 Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
3 Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.
3 Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
