Position SummaryThis Epic Principal Trainer role is an early-career individual contributor responsible for supporting clinical application training across enterprise initiatives, system implementations, and workflow optimization efforts. This role partners closely with Sr Principal Trainers and cross-functional stakeholders to assist in curriculum development, training delivery, and readiness activities.
This role is designed for individuals with strong Epic experience who are developing toward full Principal Trainer responsibilities. Epic certification is not required at hire but must be obtained within 6 - 12 months of start date.
- Support Sr Principal Trainers in developing and maintaining role-based curricula and training materials
- Assist with training readiness activities including environment validation, content reviews, and deployment preparation
- Participate in training delivery and provide support during instructor-led sessions
- Collaborate with Clinical Informatics, Operations, IT, and Learning & Development teams
- Ensure training materials reflect current workflows and system functionality
- Support go-live activities, including at-the-elbow support and issue escalation
- Identify opportunities to improve training content and learner experience
Required Qualifications
Bachelor27s degree or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in clinical informatics, healthcare IT, or enterprise training
Hands-on Epic experience in an operational, training, or support capacity
Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$64,890.00 - $158,620.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
