Project ScopeWe are seeking a Clarity / Caboodle Analyst to build out the data foundation for an enterprise AI and analytics platform anchored in an Epic Clarity and Caboodle environment. This role will design, build, and maintain data models, extracts, and ingestion pipelines supporting revenue cycle analytics - including denial management and prior authorization - with planned expansion into adjacent domains.
Position SummaryThe Clarity / Caboodle Analyst will serve as the primary data modeling and extract resource responsible for developing and maintaining the ingestion architecture and data marts that feed an enterprise analytics and AI platform. This individual will work alongside Data Warehouse, Data Exchange, and Epic application teams to define sizing, capacity, governance, and lineage standards, validate data quality, and ensure PHI-handling controls are applied consistently across all pipelines and reporting outputs. The ideal candidate brings hands-on Epic Clarity and Caboodle experience, strong SQL and ETL skills, and a solid understanding of revenue cycle data in a hospital or health system environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain data extracts, transformations, and marts sourced from Epic Clarity and Caboodle to support enterprise analytics and downstream AI initiatives.
- Develop and maintain the ingestion architecture and data model needed for revenue cycle analytics including claims, denials, prior authorization, and eligibility data.
- Partner with Data Warehouse and Interface Engineering teams to define sizing, capacity, governance, and lineage standards for the platform's data foundation.
- Support pre-bill and post-bill reporting, KPI dashboards, and ad hoc analytics requests drawing on Clarity and Caboodle data.
- Validate data quality and reconcile discrepancies between source Epic systems and downstream data marts.
- Ensure PHI-handling controls including encryption, role-based access, and audit logging are applied consistently across data pipelines and reporting outputs.
- Document data models, extract logic, and lineage for handoff to steady-state operations.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Hands-on production experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models in a hospital or health system environment.
- Strong SQL/T-SQL skills with experience in ETL development using SSIS or comparable tooling.
- Experience building data models or marts supporting revenue cycle, financial, or clinical analytics.
- Working understanding of HIPAA and PHI data-handling requirements in an analytics context.
- Comfortable working directly with health system IT stakeholders across Data Warehouse, Interface Engineering, and Epic application teams.
- Epic Clarity Data Model Certification required.
- Epic Caboodle Certification required.
- Ability to travel up to 20% as required.
Preferred Qualifications- Epic Cogito Fundamentals Certification.
- Epic Reporting Workbench or SlicerDicer credential.
- Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate or equivalent cloud data platform certification.
- HL7 or FHIR foundational certification.
- Experience supporting revenue cycle AI or analytics platform initiatives.
