Job Description:

Sun Life is seeking an ePharmacy Product Manager to join our innovative Health Products & Platforms team. Reporting to the Product Director for ePharmacy, this role is at the forefront of Sun Life's mission to improve healthcare accessibility. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for the core ePharmacy web and mobile application and will identify and drive forward product updates that improve the user experience. You will also own targets related to product adoption and conversion, sharing updates and learnings with the broader ePharmacy team. While very product focused, this role also has an element of strategy which involves identifying and driving forward ways to grow the ePharmacy value-proposition to bring new ePharmacy capabilities to market that align with Sun Life's business objectives and core capabilities.

What will you do?

The Product Manager, ePharmacy will be responsible for the success of the pharmacy growth mandate, in-app product experience and evolution of the core ePharmacy offering, including:

Product Management

  • Define and maintain a product roadmap and backlog that supports core ePharmacy


  • Work closely with the Pillway product team (our ePharmacy partner) to deliver on the roadmap, including overseeing user research, journey design, and UX design


  • Collaborate with Sun Life mobile and web teams to support ePharmacy integration within the overall Sun Life ecosystem


  • Lead UAT efforts to ensure delivery of a quality user experience


  • Communicate release schedules and upcoming changes to key stakeholders, supporting change management processes when required


  • Support security and privacy reviews as part of the product development process


Product Innovation & Reporting

  • Own bottom-of-funnel conversion targets, reporting on key metrics such as registrations, transferred scripts, active users, etc.


  • Become the subject matter expert for the ePharmacy user experience, identifying and driving forward updates that improve the core user experience and align with growth targets


  • Work closely with Pillway's marketing team to build, track and report on retargeting journeys & related marketing campaigns


  • Track and report on customer satisfaction metrics and incorporate user feedback into the backlog


  • Support target setting and forecasting for ePharmacy as it relates to KPIs and OKRs


Pharmacy Evolution

  • Identify and drive forward initiatives to expand on the current offerings provided by the Pharmacy, working closely with Pillway and internal Sun Life stakeholders


  • Track and report on success of these key initiatives in terms of ePharmacy user engagement, conversions, etc.


What do you need to succeed?

  • In depth understanding of product management principles and best practices


  • Technical background with experience in app or software development


  • Strong understanding of the Pharmacy industry and ability to synthesize market opportunities for Sun Life Health


  • Proven ability to translate strategy into execution and manage initiatives effectively and efficiently


  • Excellent leadership skills and track record for collaborating with other teams and stakeholders


  • Strength reporting on a wide range of data while providing recommendations/insights that drive business improvements


Education and Experience

  • University-level education


  • Health industry work experience of 5+ years, preferably in the pharmacy space


  • Experience in product management, developing user-facing applications


The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
