Full Job Description
Under direct supervision of a registered professional engineer, creates basic to moderate complexity engineering-related designs for water and waste water treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, remediation, solid wastes, remediation sites, solid waste facilities, etc. Develops white papers and technical documentation to support the firm's Total Knowledge Management (TKM). Note: All engineering-related work is reviewed and approved by a registered professional engineer. Under general supervision of a registered professional engineer, creates basic to moderate complexity water and waste water treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, pump stations, remediation sites, solid waste facilities, etc. engineering-related designs to meet client project requirements. Reviews draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Ensures that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs. Performs site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications. Updates design requirements as necessary. Performs water quality analyses and modeling. Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc. Submits technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals. Performs other duties as required. May create or work with a team to create a poster or other presentation material for a conference. Note: All engineering-related work is reviewed and approved by a registered professional engineer. Skills & Abilities Intermediate Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Good written and verbal communications skills. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. 1 year of related experience. Amount of Travel Required 10% or less Additional Information This job posting is for an existing vacancy. Pay Range Min USD $75,275.00 Pay Range Max USD $124,176.00 Additional Pay Range Information CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
