Environmental Services Manager

Full - Time

Salary Range: $83,462.93 - $104,328.67

Description of Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the effective direction, management, and operation of all functions of the Environmental Services department to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment.

Required Experience:
  • Must have at least ten (10) years of experience in environmental services, custodial/housekeeping or in a related field.
  • Must have at least seven (7) years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Qualifications:
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local laws, regulations, codes pertaining to biohazardous and infectious, solid waste management and recycling.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
  • Takes the lead in the development and motivation of supervisory staff, ensuring the staff is properly trained at all levels and performance standards are met.
  • Ability to deliver strong operational performance by monitoring operations and completing EVS quality assessments and necessary action plans to provide optimal environmental services.
  • Monitor and maintain operating budgets such as payroll, supplies, uniforms, contracts, and equipment.
  • Ability to quickly analyze situations to determine the best course of action.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills for dealing with diverse staff, clients and customers.
  • Must be multi-task oriented, have strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and manage multi-shift or continuous operations.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to perform assigned work with a positive attitude, while exhibiting a professional manner.
