Environmental Senior Specialist, you'll play a key role in protecting the environment, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing sustainable manufacturing practices while partnering with teams across the business to drive continuous improvement.

What You'll Do As an Environmental Senior Specialist, you will serve as a subject matter expert on environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives that support Caterpillar's East Peoria manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will:
- Lead environmental compliance efforts by interpreting regulations, conducting audits, inspections, and ensuring adherence to EPA, IEPA, OSHA, and Caterpillar standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate environmental risks by investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and reviewing new products, equipment, and processes.
- Develop and maintain environmental programs, procedures, and management systems that support operational excellence and long-term sustainability goals.
- Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, and leadership teams to drive environmental performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor environmental metrics and prepare regulatory reports while developing training and awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.
- Champion a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship across the facility through proactive problem-solving and process improvement.

Top Candidates Will Also Have- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of environmental experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of environmental compliance programs, including air, waste, water, and regulatory reporting requirements, with experience managing environmental risk and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience conducting environmental audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company environmental standards.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive environmental improvements across operations.
- EPA Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) experience and working knowledge of environmental management systems and sustainability best practices.

Summary Pay Range:$112,710.00 - $169,060.00
