ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental Planning - Contribute to environmental assessments (EAs) for a variety of projects (e.g., mining, oil and gas pipelines and facilities, transmission lines, roads)
- Coordinate environmental regulatory permit applications and support environmental management planning
- Develop and coordinate public and agency consultation programs
- Liaise with private sector clients
- Contribute to business development activities including proposal preparation and presentations

Qualifications- A university degree in environmental studies, planning, geography or a related field with a strong interest in environmental assessment
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the consulting industry. New graduates will be considered
- Ability to work independently (self-driven) and contribute to a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong communication, report writing, organization and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail
- Aptitude to learn.
- Commitment to project quality and project deadlines.
Experience- Experience and interest in provincial and federal environmental assessments for mining, utility, and linear development projects (e.g., pipelines, powerlines)
- Understanding of Canadian EA methods, requirements and legislation, including the federal Impact Assessment Act, Canada Energy Regulator Act, Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, and the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Act
- Familiarity with environmental policy, legislation, and regulations and environmental regulatory processes
- Demonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary teamwork, detail-oriented tasks, and technical report writing
- Proficiency in the use of word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader)
- Experience or familiarity with socio-economic and GBA+ impact assessments is considered an asset
- Experience or interest in executing field programs as part of environmental studies (field activities may require overnight travel, overtime, and work on weekends).
Compensation$80,000 - $95,000
Dillon is including the salary range that we in good faith believe may offer for this position. It will be dependent on the successful applicant's education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region. Dillon reserves the right to pay outside of the posted range, contingent on factors unrelated to an applicant's gender or other status protected by provincial and/or federal law.
